Mets can trade 1 right now to consolidate NL East dominance

In the midst of a great New York Mets season, things can get even sweeter if they are aggressive before the MLB trading period.

We’re here in early June and things are going according to plan New York Mets. The NL East team has been great this season as they are 32-25 and have a three-game lead Philadelphia Phillies. People all over Queens have a pretty good time.

Well, things could have been even better for the team if Steve Cohen and the rest of the office had decided to decide before the trade deadline on July 30th. A player who should be vigilant to move forward would no doubt be Detroit Tigers hurler Matthew Boyd.

Initial pitcher Matthew Boyd would be a notable Mets trade

Boyd came to Motor City in 2015 and has had good and bad moments with the Tigers. This season, he has scored 3-6 with a 3.56 ERA. While this record of profit losses is a bit worrisome, it’s not going to get a lot of support from Detroit. That 3.56 ERA is what Mets should be fascinated by.

Adding a veteran left-hander would obviously be a tremendous thing for a pelota player looking forward to the summer months. New York has high hopes of winning the division this year as well as making some serious noise in the post season.

For that to happen, they will need to strengthen their lineup and rotation. At the same time, the people of Flushing are waiting for Francisco Lindor to fill his massive bustle. Having said all that, Boyd would send a message to the rest of the NL East in New York. We’ll see what the Mets can do before July 30th arrives.
