Israel Adesanya validates control cards, retains middleweight championship with Marvin Vettori retaliated in UFC 263
It was their revenge April 2018 on the same field, Adesanya won in a split decision.
Israel Adesanya has surpassed Marvin Vettori’s middleweight title in UFC 263
Adesanya worked more than Vettori with a hard leg in the starting frame, as well as a high shot that caught Vettori. Vettori got the knockout round, but Adesanya was able to lift himself with a little effort.
Adesanya headed out in the second round, continuing to kick her leg, and trying to use her elbows to prevent Vettori’s attacks.
Vettori came after Adesanya in the third round, falling almost immediately and getting Adesanya’s back. He almost closed the cap to the defensive champion, but Adesanya managed to turn it around and put Vettori on top of the guard. Vettori tried to block his leg, but Adesanya came out, and after a blink of an eye, they both started to negotiate, and Adesanya continued to improve on Vettori by leading with leg kicks.
On the fourth day, Adesanya continued his strategy of getting his foot in the door, and he continued to distinguish the challenger who gave little response to Adesanya’s attack.
At the beginning of the fifth Vettori tried to get another knockout of Adesanya, which easily shaken Adesanya and brought her back to work. Vettori finally managed to get rid of it, making it easy for Adesanya to get to her feet.
