The Atlanta Braves have lost four straight games and are third in the crowded NL East. A trade in particular can help change things.
Brave they have been given a hard hand. Mike Soroka is out for the season, and outside player Marcell Ozuna may play his last game in Atlanta due to allegations of domestic violence.
Atlanta could use a fresh arm, and they don’t have to wait until the end of the period. With several losing teams already anticipating and trying to sell the most talented talent, Brave should make money before the price could be astronomical.
Kyle Gibson initially turns the net into another Rangers solution. Seriously, he’s gone crazy. Gibson has a 2.13 ERA and closed out the giants at 6.2 innings.
MLB rumors: the brave should exchange Kyle Gibson for the right pitcher
Gibson has signed for the 2022 season, which would make him a valuable addition from the Braves ’perspective. They no longer have to look at the free agent market to add a veteran pitcher to the season. If they had to add Gibson, they will have it when they recharge by 2022.
However, Gibson can help the brave win this year. Max Fried and Ian Anderson would be behind the rotation, both of whom are having a good season. Behind these two, however, the rotation of the Atlantis is unproven or inconsistent. Gibson could add consistency to what has been the best season of his career so far.
Negotiating for Gibson’s exchange risks going back to the rules, and for him it would be an ERA of more than 4 years. It would be brave for Gibson to have found something when he was selected on his field in 2021.
It probably wouldn’t cost much to get it because of that draft history. It’s a win-win.
