If the Chicago Cubs want to get out of the NL Central fight with the Milwaukee Brewers, they have to get out and exchange with the Starling Mars outfielder.
The NL Central standings couldn’t be closer right now, either Chicago cubs and Milwaukee Brewers they are on the neck of the race. As of this writing, Milwaukee will have a 0.5 game lead in Chicago, ready for the Cubs to jump ahead.
With the MLB trading deadline set for July 30, you’d better think that Cuba will be busy trying to improve its lineup. One player who needs to try and land is a star player outside of Starling Mars.
MLB Rumors: Cubs Must Take All Stops to Negotiate for Starling Mars
Can you imagine the power of Mars in the middle of the Cubs with Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, Javier Baez and others? God. Mars is having a wonderful season for the Miami Marlins, with the slugger hitting .351, five home runs and 15 RBI.
Miami has struggled sadly all spring, as the NL East club is 29-36 small. The Marlins don’t expect to smell the post-season action, looking to sell Mars at a high price and continue to rebuild.
The cubs, of course, should put some important solutions on the table in exchange for Mars, but it’s worth it for David Ross and Chicago. If the kids want something to happen, once again, they would have until July 30 to put a sexy offer for Miami on the table.
Fans of the cubs would of course welcome him to Mars with open arms. Just thinking about having traps at Wrigley Field is enough to make the people of Chicago smile. Now we need to see if the office does things.
